I want to show you some pictures first
by Jeremy Evans
They’re not mine
I don’t have any of my own
I found them
I dug them up
I took them
I give them to you
I share them with you
Take them
Make them yours
They belong to us now
With love
They tell the tale
It’s the tale of our ancestors and the feats that they performed
And the wonders to behold
And the triumphs of good over evil
Wait, No, I’ll start again
When I was young,
Wait, No, I’ll start again
Because I do have a tale to tell you
When we were young, my mother would gather us all together to tell us the tale of our ancestors and the feats that they performed
And the wonders to behold
And the triumphs of good over evil
Wait, No, I’ll start again.
She was from a long line of storytellers
This much I know, as this is the tale of our ancestors and feats.
And wonders
And triumphs, oh so good.
And this is how I remember her telling it.
